Montel Williams
The daytime TV host Montel Williams was misdiagnosed for a decade before he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). After a year of living privately with the disease, he used his show as a platform to announce that he had MS in 1999 and has been an advocate ever since. He established the Montel Williams Foundation which is dedicated to helping find a cure for the condition.
Williams has also written books about how he manages his MS through diet and exercise.
